Jordan Walker became the first St. Louis Cardinals player to win the MLB Home Run Derby, putting together an insane rally late in the final to stun the Citizens Bank Park crowd supporting hometown hero Kyle Schwarber.It looked like Schwarber would win it when he hit 11 in the final, but Walker homered on his last six swings to silence the crowd in Philadelphia.Phillies sluggers Schwarber and Bryce Harper had the fans behind them, but Harper was eliminated in the first round. Harper had been the last player to win the derby at home, doing so in 2018 when he was still on the Washington Nationals, with Schwarber finishing runner-up that year at Nationals Park.The 24-year-old Walker, who debuted in 2024, is having a breakout season for the Cardinals with 22 home runs, 74 RBIs and 13 stolen bases at the break.Willson Contreras was the leader after the first round, clubbing 13 as the first hitter of the night.
