The Lagos State Government has honoured two officials of the Office of Physical Planning with its second quarter Officer of the Quarter Awards, saying the initiative is aimed at rewarding excellence and improving service delivery across the public service.
Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Oluyinka Olumide, presented the awards during a ceremony held recently at the ministry’s conference room, where he urged public servants to embrace diligence, professionalism and high productivity.
The awards were presented in two categories, with Raji Abimbola, a Chief Town Planning Officer, emerging as Management Officer of the Quarter, while Michael Samuel, a Chief Clerical Officer, received the Junior Officer of the Quarter Award.
Olumide said the recognition programme was instituted to celebrate officers who consistently demonstrate exceptional commitment and outstanding performance in the discharge of their responsibilities.
“The initiative is designed to recognise and reward officers who have distinguished themselves through exceptional performance and commitment to duty,” he said.
