The 123rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade delivered and deployed an unmanned ground vehicle to the occupied shore of the Kinburn Spit in the Mykolaiv region, using a remotely operated underwater vehicle to carry out a combat mission.

According to Ukrinform, the 123rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade reported this on Facebook.

As noted, under the leadership of Colonel Oleh Makukha, commander of the 123rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade, and with the direct coordination of Major Denys Hipik, commander of the 1st Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade, Major Denys Hipik, the brigade’s servicemen carried out a unique combat operation that, until recently, seemed like something from the future.

“This is the first combat mission of this kind known to us in the world: An unmanned ground vehicle was delivered to enemy shores using an unmanned maritime platform, deployed on the occupied territory of our homeland, and used to carry out a combat mission,” the statement reads.

The brigade emphasizes that this is not merely a technical experiment. It is a new approach to warfare in which machines take on the risk that humans would otherwise bear. This is the result of leadership vision, systematic training, the courage of the crews, and the belief that the Ukrainian army is capable not only of keeping pace with technology but also of setting new rules on the battlefield.
