July 13 (UPI) -- Peacock released the teaser for Crystal Lake on Monday. The Friday the 13th series premieres Oct. 15.
The trailer shows Camp Crystal Lake welcoming campers with the song "Crystal Lake, oh, we love you." Soon, an ambulance carries a body away.
Counselors tell the story around the campfire of "when that kid drowned last summer." That kid was Jason Voorhees, and the teaser shows Linda Cardellini as his mother, Pam, in the lake calling his name.
In the original Friday the 13th, it was Pam who carried out the murder of counselors, blaming all drinking, smoking and fornicating counselors for neglecting her son and allowing him to drown.
