President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude to French President Emmanuel Macron for his willingness to grant Ukraine licenses to manufacture Aster interceptor missiles and SCALP cruise missiles.
The head of state made this announcement during remarks to the media following a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“Today we discussed measures that can help right now. I want to thank France for its willingness to support Ukraine with additional air defense systems as early as this year. Thank you, Emmanuel, personally, for your willingness to grant licenses. This is a significant step forward. It will be of great help—licenses for the Aster and SCALP systems. These are important decisions,” he said.
