Then I started building a side project and kept hearing people mention "open-source models" in tech Twitter threads, and I had no idea what they were talking about. The Day I Realized "Open Source AI" Was a Thing
I was complaining to my friend (a senior engineer) about how expensive it was going to be to call GPT-4o for my project.
