The National Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress on Monday pledged its support for President Bola Tinubu’s renewable energy reforms as it unveiled a N17.5 million grant for participants in the Dr Mustapha Abdullahi Energy Leadership Fellowship, aimed at promoting innovation and youth participation in Nigeria’s energy sector.
The APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, made the pledge at the opening ceremony of the Dr Mustapha Abdullahi Energy Leadership Fellowship in Abuja on Monday.
The seven-day residential fellowship is designed to equip young professionals in Nigeria’s energy sector with knowledge and skills in renewable energy, energy transition policies, climate action, leadership and governance.
The APC National Youth Leader acknowledged that inadequate power generation and distribution remain major challenges affecting virtually every sector of the economy, adding that the APC youth wing is committed to supporting the Tinubu administration’s efforts to address the problem.
