Kelvin Fletcher and his wife, Liz, suffered a setback on their Cheshire Farm during tonight's episode of Fletcher's Family Farm16:18, 13 Jul 2026Updated 16:20, 13 Jul 2026Kelvin Fletcher put his head in his hands as he told his wife, "We've failed".In a repeat episode of Fletcher's Family Farm, airing tonight, Kelvin and Liz Fletcher attempt to shear four of their sheep, and it's safe to say, things don't go to plan.Things got off to a cracking start as the couple began the task, but things quickly took a turn for Kelvin. The former soap star explained that after he and Liz both had a go at shearing, they decided to try to time the next one to see how fast they could do it.Liz said, "Let's time it and see how quickly you can do it. On your marks, get set, go."Kelvin said in the voiceover, "A professional sheep shearer can remove an entire fleece in under one minute, and that target has long gone."He said to Liz, "He's so big, so strong, and he's got such a big fleece as well.""So we're 11 minutes in," Liz commented as Kelvin replied, "Oh my goodness, that's embarrassing."Liz laughed, although just minutes later, disaster struck as Kelvin stated, "And just as I'm finding the knack, battery's gone. Both batteries have a 90-minute time limit. Now we've not taken 180 minutes. ""We might have done," his wife replied as she tried to contain her laughter. "We've only done two and a half sheep. It looks like someone's been murdered. "Kelvin looked deflated as he said, "I am absolutely fuming. I don't know whether to laugh or cry."Pointing to one of their sheep, he added, "The battery has gone, and now half of his fleece is hanging off.""If we sheared all 40 of our sheep at this rate, it would take us 80 hours to do this," Liz laughed again. "When our shearer comes, he's done by the afternoon."The former Emmerdale star put his head in his hands as he went on, "It started out so well. I hate to admit it, but we've failed that, haven't we? Honestly.""I feel like crying," he shared before his wife tried to see the positive side by saying, "But at least we've learned we will never bother to do that again. "Kelvin explained that they needed to ring their professional sheep shearer to come to fix the problem; however, he was reluctant."I don't even want to ring him. I might just send him a picture and say, 'SOS'."Article continues below"It's taking me back to my hairdressing days. I'm not joking. I've been here before, but in a salon, like, honestly, not good," Liz added.Fletcher's Family Farm is available to watch on ITVX.
