Ten people have been detained in connection with the murders of two residents of the village of Kalynivka in the Kyiv region, including the former commander of Ukraine's 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
According to Ukrinform, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the development on Telegram.
"Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko reported that another member of the group responsible for the brutal murder of two residents of the village of Kalynivka in the Kyiv region has been detained. It is a horrific tragedy, and everyone responsible will be held fully accountable," Zelensky said.
He added that a total of 10 suspects have now been detained.
"Sadly, they include service members and the former commander of the 155th Brigade. Everything they perpetrated will be thoroughly investigated. This case goes beyond a single community or even the Kyiv region alone. Establishing the full truth and holding everyone responsible to account is something the entire country needs. And that will happen," the President stressed.
