The repatriation flight, Vietnam Airlines VN979, is scheduled to transport the remains from Ho Chi Minh City to Mumbai. The accident occurred on Friday when a speedboat carrying 32 Indian tourists and four Vietnamese crew members overturned in rough seas. Sixteen survivors have been discharged from hospital and are returning to India, while one remains in critical condition and is receiving treatment in Ho Chi Minh City. The boat's captain is under investigation for allegedly violating inland waterway transport safety regulations, with reports indicating passengers were not wearing life jackets despite instructions.
