A Yoruba cultural advocate and Lead of Abinibi Hub, Bunmi Adetona, has appealed to the Oyo State Government to immortalise the late Michael Oyedokun, one of the teachers killed during the abduction of pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area, by naming a secondary school after him.
Adetona made the appeal in a Sunday statement following renewed calls by the late Mathematics teacher family for the recovery of his body, which remains missing nearly two months after the attack.
“I respectfully appeal to the Oyo State Government and all relevant authorities to honour his memory by naming a secondary school: MICHAEL OYEDOKUN MEMORIAL GRAMMAR SCHOOL, ORIRE, ESINELE, OYO STATE,” Adetona wrote.
