In a tighter and more complex labour market, the quality of leadership can decide whether people stay, leave or join. Recruitment specialists say companies must look beyond job descriptions and focus on management, culture and growth.
The quality of management is becoming one of the biggest issues on the Slovak labour market. Companies often approach recruitment agencies saying they need to fill a specific position, but a deeper conversation shows they are dealing with a broader problem in management, the team or the company culture. Today, managers influence not only team performance, but also whether a company can retain key people.
“With digitalisation and growing performance demands, it will be important for managers and specialists to be able to cover several areas at once. At the same time, there will be increasing pressure on the efficiency of the recruitment process,” says Ondrej Ivan, CEO of the executive search and recruitment agency HEADSCOUT.
