RPG Life Sciences on Monday launched Naprosyn ES, a fixed-dose combination of Naproxen and Esomeprazole, marking the first time such a combination has been introduced in India. The pharmaceutical company has partnered with Archerchem Healthcare for the product, with RPG Life Sciences holding exclusive marketing and distribution rights across the country and Archerchem serving as exclusive supplier. The product targets patients on long-term NSAID therapy who face elevated risk of gastrointestinal complications. The combination was co-developed by Archerchem Healthcare and an undisclosed development partner. The launch comes on a day when RPG Life Sciences shares traded lower on the NSE, falling ₹30.30 or 1.06% to ₹2,826.60 by mid-afternoon, though the stock touched a fresh 52-week high of ₹2,956 during intraday trade. The company’s stock has gained over 27% in the past month and is up more than 510% over five years, reflecting sustained investor interest in the mid-cap pharma name. Market capitalisation stood at approximately ₹4,675 crore.Ashok Nair, Managing Director of RPG Life Sciences, said the launch reflects the company’s research-driven approach and the enduring brand equity of Naprosyn among doctors and patients.Anil Dhedia, Chairman and Managing Director of Archerchem Healthcare, said the partnership demonstrates Archerchem’s capability in complex formulations and its commitment to improving medication adherence across India.RPG Life Sciences said it will leverage its existing network of specialists and a pan-India distribution infrastructure to drive uptake of Naprosyn ES, in line with its stated strategy of building a differentiated portfolio in chronic therapy segments.
