President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia’s leadership has “gone crazy over war” and is irrationally refusing to end its invasion, following another wave of overnight strikes on Ukrainian cities.In a post on Telegram, Zelensky said Russia had once again targeted civilian infrastructure.JOIN US ON TELEGRAMFollow our coverage of the war on the @Kyivpost_official.“The Russians have again ‘defeated’ absolutely civilian objects – ordinary passenger buses in Odesa, ordinary residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia, and an ordinary hospital in the Kharkiv region.”
He said the latest attacks show Ukraine’s urgent need for additional air defense systems and stronger international support.“The whole world sees that Ukraine needs more air defense, better protection of human life, and that the Russian leadership has gone crazy over war and is absolutely irrationally refusing to end it.”Zelensky also called for increased pressure on Moscow through tougher sanctions, additional military aid packages, and new joint defense initiatives, including the proposed European anti-ballistic project FREYJA.“There will be meetings and negotiations in the near future that should strengthen our defense,” he added.Russia launched another overnight wave of drone attacks across Ukraine, striking transport infrastructure in Odesa, wounding civilians in Zaporizhzhia, and leaving nearly 70,000 electricity customers without power in the Chernihiv region.In Odesa, Russian drones struck a transport company, setting several buses on fire and damaging four private homes, according to local authorities. Four people, including a five-year-old child, were injured and hospitalized in stable condition.
