The African Democratic Congress in Ekiti State has said that it will not challenge the outcome of the June 20 governorship election in the state at the election petitions tribunal.
ADC State Executive Committee said at its expanded meeting in Ado Ekiti that the party would rather focus on repositioning, reconciliation and grassroots mobilisation ahead of future elections.
These were contained in a communique at the end of the party’s SEC meeting made available in Ado Ekiti on Sunday by the ADC state publicity secretary, Gboyega Aribisogan.
Aribisogan stated that the meeting, which was held on July 9, presided over by the state chairman, Dr Bamidele Ekunola, which had in attendance members of the SEC, State Working Committee, national vice chairman/zonal chairman, LGA chairmen, women and youth leaders, and other key stakeholders deliberated on the state of the party, the national political landscape, and preparations for future elections.
According to him, the ADC in the state expressed confidence in the leadership of the National Working Committee led by Senator David Mark/Rauf Aregbesola and pledged the total commitment of Ekiti ADC to building a disciplined, united, and election-winning party.
