The assailants were said to have ambushed him before opening fire, killing him on the spot.
One of Zamfara State’s most notorious bandit commanders, Kachalla Sani Yellow, has been killed in Anka Local Government Area, marking the end of the reign of a feared warlord long linked to deadly attacks, mass kidnappings, cattle rustling and violent raids across communities in Nigeria’s North-West.
However, conflicting accounts have emerged over the circumstances surrounding his death, with local sources and security operatives offering different versions of how the notorious bandit leader was killed.
SaharaReporters gathered that Yellow was shot dead on Friday, July 10, at Dan Jibga Market in Anka Local Government Area by armed men believed to be loyal to rival bandit kingpin, Dogo Gide.
Quoting security expert Zagazola Makama, sources said the attack occurred in broad daylight while Yellow was reportedly carrying out activities at the busy market.
