For someone celebrated for her roast chicken, Farah Khan admits she is not a fan. Speaking at the Flipkart Food Fest 2026 in Bengaluru, the Bollywood director and choreographer said, “Everybody loves my roast chicken, but even the smell of it makes me sick, because it is cooked in the house every day.”The Flipkart Food Fest is a consumer-focused brand event, whose third edition was held at Embassy Tech Village, Bengaluru, between July 7 and 8. Stalls thronged with food-lovers from across the city. The event featured such celebrities as Farah , chef Ranveer Brar, and comedian Sunil Grover, who entertained an enthusiastic audience with lively Q&A sessions, live performances, demonstrations, and comic sets.Along with Dilip Mukhiya, her personal chef and co-creator, Farah engaged with her audience in an interactive session that featured a dance competition. Sharing anecdotes from her career, she joked, “We all love Jackie Shroff, but he has his own style. If you tell him to move left, he’ll move right.”On the topic of local cuisine, Farah mentioned her love for Meghana Biryani and Rameshwaram Cafe’s podi idlis, but seemed hesitant to share which Bollywood actors she had a crush on; she deflected, saying she admired Tom Cruise instead. The Main Hoon Na director also reminisced about the movie during the session. “It was the best time of our lives, we were in Darjeeling for a month, and we all stayed in a boarding school—in the dormitories,” she says.
