Nestlé Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to creating an enabling environment for youth entrepreneurship, saying empowering young Nigerians with the skills, opportunities and support to build successful businesses remains central to the company’s contribution to national development.

The company made the pledge at the National Youth Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Summit 2026, on Sunday, organised by the Activate Success International Foundation in Abuja, where it also renewed its longstanding collaboration with the foundation to strengthen youth enterprise development across the country.

Speaking at the summit, themed “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Courage and Impact,” Nestlé Nigeria’s Head of Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainability, Victoria Uwadoka, said the focus of the conference was particularly significant given that young people account for more than 70 per cent of Nigeria’s population.

She stressed that entrepreneurship remains one of the most effective tools for tackling unemployment, driving innovation and creating sustainable economic growth.

According to Uwadoka, entrepreneurship is about identifying opportunities and creating value, while innovation requires young people to challenge conventional thinking. She added that courage enables entrepreneurs to move forward despite uncertainty, while true impact is measured by long-term success rather than short-term achievements.
