Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has returned to South African club Chippa United ahead of the 2026/27 season, five months after leaving the side.

The 30-year-old rejoins the Chilli Boys after spending several months away from competitive football following his departure from the club in February 2026, a period that affected his place in Nigeria’s senior national team.

Chippa United announced Nwabali’s return on Sunday via its official social media channels.

“Chippa United Football Club is delighted to welcome @nwabali32 back to the Chilli Boys,” the club posted. Related News Africa may get more slots as FIFA considers 64-team World Cup FIFA confirms Mbappe leads Messi in World Cup Golden Boot race Senegal sack coach Pape Thiaw after World Cup exit
