Minister of Works, David Umahi
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has said the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Peter Obi, declined his invitation to a public debate because he knew he could not win a comparison of their records in public office.
Umahi made the claim in a statement issued on Sunday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, while responding to Obi’s recent remarks dismissing the minister’s challenge.
The minister had earlier invited Obi to a debate focused on their respective performances as governors.
Both politicians were two-term former governors.
