The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Felix Ohagwu, has reaffirmed the command’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the National Youth Service Corps to ensure the safety and security of corps members serving across the state.
Ohagwu gave the assurance when the Ondo State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs Bakare Kuburat, led members of the scheme’s management team on a courtesy visit to the state police headquarters in Akure.
PUNCH Online reports that the visit comes amid renewed calls for stronger collaboration among security agencies to address emerging security threats and guarantee the safety of corps members deployed to various parts of the country.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the NYSC coordinator commended the police command for its continued support and security assistance to the scheme.
