Shake-up follows Zelenskyy's updated "political strategy"
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans for a government reshuffle on Sunday, signalling the replacement of Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and changes at the top of several law enforcement agencies.
“I am grateful to (Svyrydenko) for her clear, steady, and effective work… and I have offered her the opportunity to lead a new and important area of relations with a key partner,” Zelenskyy said on X.
He said implementing the country’s “updated political strategy” would require a government overhaul.
“I expect that, together with MPs, we will make the corresponding changes in the Government of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said, noting that there would also be changes among the heads of law enforcement agencies.
