LONDON: The president of Saudi Arabia’s Transport General Authority, Fawaz Al-Sahli, led the Kingdom’s delegation to the 137th session of the International Maritime Organization Council, held in London.
The participation reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening its presence in international maritime forums and supporting the development of the maritime transport sector.
During the session, the Saudi delegation took part in discussions on key strategic issues related to maritime transport, including improving maritime sector efficiency, enhancing maritime safety and security, and advancing international cooperation.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Al-Sahli held a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of governments and international organizations to explore opportunities for strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise.
He also highlighted the Kingdom’s achievements in developing the maritime sector, in line with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
