MANILA – House prosecution spokesperson and Lanao del Sur 1st District Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong on Sunday argued that Vice President Sara Duterte’s November 23, 2024 online video went beyond ordinary threats, as she explicitly detailed an arrangement to have individuals killed.

The impeachment charges against Duterte stem from an online press briefing where she claimed to have hired a hitman to assassinate President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and former Speaker Martin Romualdez in the event that she is killed.

In a radio interview over dzRH, Adiong said Duterte’s own words suggested more than an angry outburst.
