The Edo State Police Command has commended residents for the peaceful conduct recorded during Saturday’s local government elections, saying the exercise has so far remained calm across the state.

The command also urged members of the public to remain law-abiding, avoid actions capable of disrupting public peace and rely only on verified information as the electoral process winds down.

This was contained in a security update issued on Saturday by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Eno Ikoedem.

According to the statement, security agencies deployed across the state ensured a peaceful electoral process through coordinated operations and strategic deployment of personnel.
