The senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Abdulfatai Buhari, has described the rescue of 44 abducted schoolchildren and their teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State as a victory for Nigerians and the country’s security architecture.
Buhari, in a statement issued in Ibadan on Saturday, also commended President Bola Tinubu and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for working closely with security agencies to secure the victims’ release.
He said, “The successful release of the 44 abducted schoolchildren and their teachers was made possible by the steadfast dedication and coordinated efforts of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde, working in collaboration with the Nigerian security agencies.
“On behalf of the good people of Oyo North Senatorial District, particularly Oriire Local Government Area, I thank President Bola Tinubu for his decisive leadership and prompt directives that ensured no stone was left unturned in securing the release of our children and their teachers.
