It should come as no surprise that Democrats have a serious problem with men. The party of “men can give birth” and “masculinity is evil” has fallen out of favor with male voters in dramatic fashion in recent election cycles. In 2024, President Donald Trump won men by a whopping 12 percentage points after winning the male vote by only 2 points in 2020. When you dig deeper into the numbers, they reveal even bigger issues for the Left. Trump won Hispanic men outright in 2024, while men ages 18-49 went for Trump by 1 point after former President Joe Biden won the demographic by 10 points in 2020.Among Gen Z voters, the gap between men and women was even more dramatic. A Tufts CIRCLE analysis found that Former Vice President Kamala Harris won young women by 20 points, while Trump won young men by 11 points.

Of course, economic anxiety plays a large role in voting patterns, but the fact that Democrats are this severely out of touch with men, even young men, suggests deep-rooted, institutional problems that have made leftist politics repulsive to most men.Attempts to make inroads with men have led to one unmitigated disaster after another for Democrats. The increasingly socialist party looked at Graham Platner, a bearded combat veteran from rural Maine, and saw a savior who could finally rid them of the dastardly, far-right (checks notes) Susan Collins. It turns out Platner is no “man’s man,” but a caricature of what the feminized left imagines a man to be. Platner is not blue-collar. His father is a famous architect, and Plater attended an expensive private school. After billing himself as an oyster farmer, it was revealed that Platner’s only client is his own mother’s restaurant.Of course, there is the Totenkopf tattoo, deranged Reddit posts, use of a messaging app that targets minors, and the credible accusations of abuse and false imprisonment from one woman, as well as a credible accusation of rape from another. Despite returning to the Middle East after his time in the military ended to fight as a contractor, Platner blames his problems (and Nazi tattoo) on the military.Flanked by his Secret Service detail, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) stops during a break to give water to the hunting dogs during the annual Minnesota Governor’s Pheasant Hunting Opener near Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024.
