Eleven IDF officers and soldiers were killed in the battle, including two company commanders from the 401st Brigade. Over 50 soldiers were wounded in the fighting, including a seriously wounded Defrin, who served at the time as the commander of the 9th Battalion.In a moment of closure last week, Defrin visited troops operating in the area, near the place from which he maneuvered the 9th Battalion toward Wadi Saluki, opposite the village of Anduria, during the 2006 war.Follow us on Google
