England supporters may have found a new lucky charm after the Three Lions' dramatic 2,1 extra time victory over Norway in the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarterfinals.

Moments after Jude Bellingham pushed England into the semifinals, players walked over to the travelling supporters in Miami and, instead of heading straight down the tunnel, stayed on the pitch to celebrate with a rousing rendition of Oasis' iconic hit, Wonderwall.

The emotional singalong quickly turned into one of the standout moments of England's World Cup campaign, with thousands of fans belting out every word as the players joined in. The song was sung by English fans before, when Manchester City won the treble.

For years, Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline has been the soundtrack to England celebrations, but this summer the squad decided to freshen things up. Before the tournament, the players submitted a playlist to FIFA featuring Wonderwall, Sweet Caroline and Hey Jude, the latter also serving as a tribute to midfield star Jude Bellingham.
