The President of the Mothers’ Union and Women’s Guild of the Anglican Missionary Diocese of Oyo South, Dr. Modupe Familoni, has called on Christian women to remain steadfast in their God-given responsibility of building strong families, nurturing godly children, and contributing meaningfully to the development of Nigeria despite the nation’s present socio-economic challenges.
Familoni, who is the wife of the diocesan bishop made the call while delivering her address at the opening of the first Annual Women’s Conference of the Missionary Diocese of Oyo South, held on Saturday at the Cathedral Church of St. John, Akinmoorin, Oyo State.
The two-day conference, themed “Keep Hope Alive” (Romans 15:13), attracted wives of clergy, women leaders, Mothers’ Union and Women’s Guild members, and other Christian women from across the Diocese.
