Ukrainian service members took part on Saturday in the final dress rehearsal for France's Bastille Day military parade, held on the Champs-Élysées in Paris ahead of the July 14 celebrations.
For the first time, Ukrainian troops will march in the parade alongside French forces and military personnel from 34 other countries participating in the Coalition of the Willing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"It is a great honor and responsibility for me. It is also an opportunity to represent the Ukrainian people and our Armed Forces while marching alongside the troops of other nations. We are honored to be here, so everyone is giving their absolute best," said Senior Lieutenant Yaroslav.
He added that it was equally important to honor all Ukrainians who had given their lives for the country's freedom.
"Thanks to their courage, Ukraine continues to fight. We are marching on behalf of everyone currently serving on the front line and in memory of those who fell in battle. We remember every hero," he said.
