Justin Wrobleski’s breakout campaign with the Los Angeles Dodgers will be rewarded with an All-Star appearance after all.Wrobleski, who started the year outside the Dodgers’ rotation and has emerged as one of the surprise stories for the reigning back-to-back World Series champions, was added to the National League All-Star roster on Saturday in place of Cincinnati Reds starter Chase Burns. Wrobleski’s manager, Dave Roberts, will manage the NL and has publicly advocated for the left-hander’s inclusion after the 25-year-old posted a 10-2 record with a 2.69 ERA over 100 1/3 innings in the first half.Wrobleski, who last pitched Tuesday and delivered seven innings of one-run ball (and a statement of his All-Star worthiness), will be available to pitch in the game in Philadelphia. This is his first selection.

— MLB (@MLB) July 11, 2026Wrobleski opened the season in the Dodgers’ bullpen and likely would not have had a chance to prove himself as a starter had Blake Snell not started the season on the injured list. The 2021 11th-round selection did not even assert himself as a big leaguer until last fall, when he returned from the minor leagues with a cleaned-up delivery and a simplified arsenal.
