New stores are moving in, a park is nearing completion and an iconic sign is making a comeback nearly 10 years since the corner of Bloor and Bathurst streets began redevelopment.
The glitzy, circus-style discount department store Honest Ed’s, named after local business and theatre giant Ed Mirvish, closed its doors at the intersection in 2017, making way for a neighbourhood redevelopment project after nearly 70 years of operation.
