The Southern Railway has announced a slew of special trains to and from Kerala for the convenience of passengers travelling during Onam festival season.According to a list released by the Southern Railways, Train No. 06119 Chennai – Kollam Weekly Express Special will leave MGR Chennai Central at 3.10 p.m. on Wednesdays (August 12, 19, 26 and September 2 (Four Services)) and reach Kollam Junction at 7.20 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the train will leave Kollam Junction at 10.40 a.m. on Thursdays, (August 13, 20, 27 and September 3 (Four Services)) and reach MGR Chennai Central at 3.30 a.m. the next day.Train No. 06110 Thiruvananthapuram – Tambaram Weekly Express Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 3.45 p.m. on Wednesdays (August 12, 19, 26 and September 2 (Four Services)) and reach Tambaram at 10 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the train will leave Tambaram at 2 p.m. on Thursdays (August 13, 20, 27 and September 3) and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7.15 a.m. the next day.Train No. 06126 Mangaluru Central – Chennai Egmore Special will leave Mangaluru Central at 4 p.m. on July 13, 20, 27, and August 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, (Mondays) and reach Chennai Egmore at 10.55 a.m., the next day (8 Services). In return direction, the train will leave Chennai Egmore at 2 p.m. on July 14, 21, 28, August 4, 11, 18, 25 and September 1(Tuesdays) and reach Mangaluru Central at 8.40 a.m., the next day (8 Services).Train No. 06093 Thiruvananthapuram North – Mangaluru Junction. Weekly Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 9 a.m. on August 12, 19, 26 and September 2 (Wednesdays) and reach Mangaluru Junction at 9 p.m., the sameday (4 Services). In return direction, the train will leave Mangaluru Junction at 3.15 p.m. on August 13, 20, 27 and September 3 (Thursdays) and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 5.30 a.m., the next day (4 Services).Train No. 06117 Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Kollam Bi-Weekly Express Special wil leave Dr MGR Chennai Central at 11.50 p.m. on August 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29, and September 3 and 5 (Thursday and Saturday) and reach Kollam at 4.20 p.m., the next day (8 services). In return direction, the train will leave Kollam at 6.45 p.m. on, August 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30, and September 4 and 6 (Friday and Sunday) and reach Dr MGR Chennai Central at 11.35 a.m., the next day (8 services).Train No. 06147 Ernakulam Junction. – SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express Special will leave Ernakulam Junction at 11.10 p.m. on August 9, 16, 23, 30 and September 6 (Sundays) and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 12.45 p.m., the next day (5 Services). In return direction, the train will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 4 p.m. on August 10, 17, 24, 31, and September 7 (Mondays) and reach Ernakulam Junction at 5.45 a.m., the next day. (5 Services).Further, the service of Train No. 06081 Thiruvananthapuram North – Santragachi Special (Fridays) has seen extended from July 31 to September 4. Subsequently, train No. 06082 Santragachi – Thiruvananthapuram North Special (Mondays) has also been extended from August 3 to September 7.
