Jay-Z kicked off his 30th anniversary concert series in New York with a bang, bringing out a very special guest, his wife Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.The rap giant kicked off his first of three shows at Yankee Stadium on July 11, launching the show with the opening track of his debut album "Can't Knock the Hustle," featuring Mary J. Blige.Moments later, Beyoncé took the stage helping him sing Blige's part and doing a special remix."New York City, what's up?" he said addressing the crowd in a New York bomber jacket and matching fitted cap. "That's how you start it!"The crowd went wild as the Grammy-winning couple sang together onstage.The Grammy-winning rapper is set to take over the stage at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York, for three highly anticipated shows in celebration of three decades in music. The "Jay-Z 30" concert series commemorates the 30th anniversary of his debut album, "Reasonable Doubt," released June 25, 1996. It also celebrates the 25th anniversary of his sixth studio album, "The Blueprint," released Sept. 11, 2001.Released by his label Roc-A-Fella Records and featuring collaborations with the likes of Mary J. Blige, The Notorious B.I.G. and Jaz-O, "Reasonable Doubt" has been heralded by some critics as one of the greatest albums of all time.Meanwhile, his sixth studio album, "The Blueprint," which spent three weeks as No.1 on the Billboard 200, is similarly regarded as one of the best works in the rap genre. In 2018, the record was inducted into the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry.Later this year, the Roc Nation founder will bring his "Jay-Z 30" concert series to Los Angeles and Paris. The European show will take place on Thursday, Sept. 10. The West Coast performance is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23.
