Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Saturday (July 11, 2026) dedicated 32 mobile Forensic Science Laboratories (FSLs) and 75 new police vehicles to the State.Home, Information Technology, Biotechnology and e-Governance Minister Priyank Kharge said forensic science plays a vital role in ensuring speedy and scientific investigation of criminal cases, and the State government is committed to modernising forensic infrastructure across Karnataka.The newly commissioned mobile forensic laboratories, operating under the Karnataka Police Department, are designed to reach crime scenes quickly and enable on-site collection and preservation of scientific evidence. The minister said the addition of the new vehicles will significantly improve the ability of forensic teams to respond promptly to crime scenes and enhance the quality of investigations.
