Paul Beaty / Associated PressJuly 10, 2026 Updated 10:37 pm EDTTristan Peters’ breakout season just got a little better Friday night as he hit for the cycle.The Chicago White Sox center fielder became the seventh player in franchise history to hit for the cycle when he tripled in the seventh inning of a 14-1 win against the Athletics at Rate Field.Peters, batting ninth in the order, started his cycle with a third-inning double off Athletics pitcher Aaron Civale before singling off him in the fifth inning.With Chicago already ahead 4-1, Peters jump-started an eight-run rally with a two-run homer off Justin Sterner in the seventh inning. His triple off Mason Barnett later in the same frame made Peters the first White Sox player to hit for the cycle since José Abreu completed the task on Sept. 9, 2017, against the San Francisco Giants.
