James has not featured since the second game of the group stage against Ghana after picking up a hamstring problem.Despite the concern surrounding the fitness of the trio, all three trained alongside their team-mates at Inter Miami’s training facilities in Fort Lauderdale during the portion of training open to media on Friday.The only player to miss the session was Jordan Henderson, who has undergone surgery on an arm injury picked up in the post-game celebrations after the victory over Mexico on Sunday.England take on Norway at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Saturday evening.Midfielder Rice and central defender Guehi have both played in all but one game for Thomas Tuchel’s side at the tournament so far, Guehi missing the group-stage opener against Croatia and Rice being rested against Panama.James’ potential return to full fitness for the first time since the draw with Ghana would represent a boost with Jarell Quansah set to serve the first match of his two-game suspension following his straight red card against Mexico.Rice, Guehi, Jude Bellingham and Nico O’Reilly will each be walking the disciplinary tightrope during the quarter-final, having picked up yellow cards in the first two knockout matches.They could receive a one-match suspension for the semi-final — providing England qualify — if they are booked against Norway.Henderson will not feature for the remainder of the tournament after breaking his left arm when he landed awkwardly while climbing over an advertising hoarding in the celebrations of England’s win against Mexico. He will remain with the squad to support his team-mates.
