FAGASA National President, Fata Vaitimu Togi Lemanu, says he is proud that the association’s three-day conference in Samoa was funded largely through the commitment of its own members and schools.
FAGASA's first conference in Samoa concluded on Thursday after bringing together Samoan bilingual teachers, principals, inspectors, and education officials from New Zealand and Samoa. Fata said the conference was made possible by the commitment of participating school principals, who paid for their teachers to attend, including airfare, accommodation, and other expenses.
“I acknowledged all the principals that were there because the principals paid for their teachers to come,” he said. “They came because it was not only during the holidays, but they knew it was something for their children.”
