Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has called on politicians across party lines to stop politicising insecurity and instead support the Federal Government’s efforts to tackle the menace.

He stated this while commending security agencies for rescuing the abducted teachers and pupils of Oriire Local Government in Oyo State.

The monarch also described the rescue as a sign that Nigeria could overcome its security challenges if political leaders worked together.

In a statement issued on Friday by his Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem, Akanbi said, “I specially commend the federal government led by President Bola Ahmed and the security chiefs for facilitating the release of the abducted Oriire Local Government students. Their efforts are strong hope that Nigeria can overcome the insecurity challenge in the nation.”
