The pop star and Oscar nominee was previously cast among its star-studded slew of franchise actors returning for the horror anthology series.
Ariana Grande will no longer appear in American Horror Story season 13, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
As previously announced in a Halloween social media post from Ryan Murphy Productions, Grande was set to join a slew of American Horror Story veterans, including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman and Jessica Lange. The cast has been filming in New York City this week, reprising their Coven characters from season three.
Grande is currently on her Eternal Sunshine tour, which is scheduled to conclude Aug. 23 in London. While she was a newcomer announced for season 13, Grande previously worked with Ryan Murphy on Fox’s Scream Queens in 2015.
The Grammy winner has increasingly focused on acting over the past few years, starring in Wicked and Wicked: For Good. She’ll next appear in Focker In-Law, the fourth installment in the Meet the Parents franchise, as well as Jon M. Chu’s animated adaptation of Oh, the Places You’ll Go!.
