Prince Harry is loving on his little family. The duke returned to his home country Monday, July 6, but has spent much of this week alone, after his plans to bring wife Meghan, 44, and their children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, to London were canceled amid a falling out over security.Things continued to worsen once Harry's plane touched down. On Monday, he was told that he could not stay at Buckingham Palace because he had missed the deadline to accept the accommodation offer and on Tuesday he lost his privacy lawsuit against Associated Newspapers, the Daily Mail's publisher.Despite it all, the duke appeared in good spirits on Friday, July 10, when he stepped out in Birmingham, England, to promote next year's Invictus Games, of which he is a founder. In an interview with British broadcaster ITV, Harry spoke about the event and how his family feels about the work he has put into promoting the event and supporting those competing.“Honestly, your kids and Meghan must be so proud of you," TV presenter Alison Hammond said to the prince as the pair enjoyed a game of laser tag. "Do they tell you every day?"Harry replied, saying, "They don't tell me every day that they're proud of me. But yeah, I'm proud of them. They're proud of me."He added, "I love my family very much."Next year, the English city will welcome more than 500 wounded, injured and sick military service personnel and veterans from 25 nations. Those taking part will compete in 12 adaptive sports. His remarks came amid swirling rumors that Meghan and their children may still make it to Britain. If they do, it will mark the first time the Sussex family has been together on British soil since 2022.USA TODAY confirmed Thursday, July 9, that the duchess will not be attending public events in the United Kingdom this week, though it is unclear if she and husband Prince Harry will meet with King Charles or other members of the royal family privately. The king has not seen his Sussex grandchildren for four years, but he did meet Harry in September for a face-to-face meeting in London.Harry's trip had been laced with hope that he may reconnect with his father and brother, from whom he has become estranged since stepping away from royal life in the U.K. in 2020. But the dramatic start to the week has stoked fears that the royal family may be past the point of reconciliation.
