Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) State president Tushar Vellappally on Friday called ‘One nation, One election’ a necessity of the times and a means to catapult the country to be among the most developed in the world. Speaking at the State council meeting of his party, which is a constituent of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Mr. Vellappally said development and welfare in Kerala were dependent on the comprehensive implementation of the welfare-development schemes of the Centre in the State. The meeting was convened to revitalise the party units and lay the groundwork for the Lok Sabha elections of 2029. He said the party would formulate action plans to effectively take the benefits of the Central projects to the people. He urged the State government to publish a White Paper on the Vizhinjam international seaport project in order to dispel all mysteries surrounding the project implementation.
