A 25-year-old GHMC sanitation worker was found dead at his residence in Bagh Amberpet on Thursday.The deceased, identified as M. Nikhil Kumar, was found dead in his bedroom by his family members at around 3.30 p.m. They immediately attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation before alerting the 108 ambulance service. The ambulance staff declared him dead.Based on a complaint lodged by his brother, M. Sai Kiran, also a GHMC sanitation worker, the police registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).According to the complaint, Nikhil Kumar was allegedly addicted to alcohol. His family told the police they did not suspect anyone and believed he may have taken the extreme step while under the influence of alcohol.
