Eight people have been indicted over an alleged plot to kill government officials and others attending a cage-fighting event at the White House in June. The defendants, all men indicted on federal charges, are accused of planning an attack on people including high-profile international politicians who attended the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Freedom 250 event at the White House on June 14. The event was organized as part of the celebrations organized by the Trump administration to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. The indictment, which was returned to Ohio, charges the defendants with two separate conspiracies: one to provide material supporting terrorists, and another involving conspiracies to commit the murder of a government official on federal government territory.
