Many of us were rejoicing that Kawhi Leonard was coming back to the Raptors because we had joyous memories of the last time he played here — no one can forget the delirious waiting, waiting, waiting as his famous series-winning buzzer-beater against Philadelphia bounced off the rim. Now it seems he’s leaving us waiting again: the trade to bring Leonard back is on hold until the NBA’s investigation into his contract with the Clippers is resolved. “When that happens,” Doug Smith writes, “no one knows.”
