All eyes are on Chinese companies as they resume buying oil, and in particular on state companies that dipped into the country’s oil inventories during the conflict in the Middle East and are now expected to refill reserves to their preconflict level. How fast the companies return the volumes, and whether Beijing continues to build out additional storage capacity, has the potential of pushing oil prices higher.
