Troops of Operation Hadin Kai in the early hours of Friday repelled an attempted terrorist infiltration of three communities near Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

The Acting Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation Hadin Kai, Capt. Muhammad Goni, said in a statement that the affected communities were Muna Garage, Shuwari Village and the Ajilari Cross area.

The statement reads: “Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have successfully thwarted multiple coordinated infiltration attempts by ISWAP terrorists across Borno State in the early hours of 10 July 2026”.

He said that between 12:20 am and 2:30 am, the terrorists attempted to infiltrate Muna Garage, Shuwari Village and the Ajilari Cross axis to gain access to the metropolis.

“With early warning mechanisms emplaced, troops swiftly detected the advancing terrorists and engaged them from multiple axes with accurate firepower, decisively frustrating all attempts to infiltrate” he said.
