Marriage is rarely as simple as saying “I do”, and Mzansi Magic’s upcoming telenovela “Nyala O” is set to explore exactly what happens when love, loyalty and long-kept secrets collide.
Premiering on July 20, the new drama follows three women whose marriages are tested in different ways, forcing each of them to confront difficult questions about love, identity, forgiveness and whether the reasons they got married are still enough to keep them there.
Leading the cast is actress and podcaster Mapaseka Koetle as Kea Maponya, a successful career woman who believes she has figured out the secret to a happy marriage.
However, everything changes when she discovers that her husband Rhami, played by Motlatsi Mafatshe, has been hiding a life-changing secret. To make matters worse, she realises that some of the people closest to her have known the truth all along.
