Over the past two weeks, we asked fans to give us their thoughts on Mike McCarthy, Aaron Rodgers, Art Rooney II and more. We had 1,865 people participate in the poll. (Not every person answered every question, so the numbers vary question-to-question.)You can find Part I here. In Part II, we’re looking at Art Rooney II’s approval rating, lots of love for Troy Polamalu, Germie Bernard and Zach Frazier, and predictions on how the team will perform in 2026.Almost half of those who responded (49.1 percent) said they think it’s time to take some short-term pain and rebuild.Respondents were generally unhappy with Rooney. Thirty-five percent gave him a C, 26.6 percent gave him a D, 24 percent gave him a B, 10.7 percent gave an F. The least-common answer was an A (3.7 percent). That would be a GPA of 1.83, which is roughly equivalent to a C-minus.How Iheanachor defied expectations to become the Steelers' No. 1 pick Mike DeFaboThis was the largest majority for any question in our poll; nearly 70 percent (69.1) said Michael Pittman Jr. was the best veteran acquisition of the offseason. Running back Rico Dowdle got 9.5 percent of the vote, cornerback Jamel Dean received 8.8 percent, a re-signed Aaron Rodgers got 5.7 percent, Jaquan Brisker got 4.6 percent and defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day received 1.3 percent.Bernard dominated this vote; 49.3 percent selected the second-round receiver from Alabama, which makes sense given the position he plays and when he was drafted. Gennings Dunker and his mullet got 16.1 percent of the vote. First-round pick Max Iheanachor received 15.5 percent; quarterback Drew Allar got 8.7. percent; Mount Lebanon’s own Eli Heidenreich got 5.1 percent of the vote.Among the “others,” fullback/tight end Riley Nowakowski was the most common answer, getting just under 1 percent of the overall vote.Fans had plenty of players to choose from, but Polamalu separated himself from the pack, getting more than one-third of the vote. He was followed by Jack Lambert (13.7 percent), Joe Greene (9.2 percent), Hines Ward (8.2 percent), Jerome Bettis (5.3 percent) and Franco Harris (4.8 percent). Ben Roethlisberger (4.3 percent) got slightly more votes than Terry Bradshaw (3.4 percent).Among active players, T.J. Watt (1.1 percent) was the leading vote-getter.Nearly a quarter of respondents (24.3 percent) answered Watt. He was followed by Cameron Heyward (19.1), Frazier (14.4), Nick Herbig (9.3), Joey Porter Jr. (8.0), Jaylen Warren (3.8), Rodgers (2.2), Allar (1.9), Bernard (1.6), DK Metcalf (1.3) and Will Howard (1.2). Nearly 1 percent said Pat Freiermuth.The overwhelming majority of people don’t believe they’ll ever attend an international game, with more than 73 percent combined saying it’s unlikely or no chance ever. About 15 percent of respondents said they’re likely or very likely to attend an international game.Fans either had a great time when they were in Ireland or had some major FOMO. More than a quarter of respondents (26.1 percent) said they’d like to see the Steelers play in Ireland again. That was followed by Mexico (19.5 percent). The good news for those fans: I’ve heard some rumblings about the Steelers going to Mexico in the next year or two. As for the rest of the survey, Germany received 13.8 percent, followed by London (13.7 percent), Spain (7.4 percent), Brazil (3.2 percent), Canada (1.8 percent) and Italy (1.1 percent).
